Absolutely dog walked by 2 less than mediocre teams back to back weeks when the league championship and CFP spot are right there for the taking. Injuries or no injuries, penalties or no penalties, the talent and motivation and coaching are all lacking for us to be anything more than a pig covered in lipstick.

We are what we pay for, sadly
We can only do what we can with the donations we get. Can Mr. Albaugh step up to the plate about 5 million more a year for us? Only half kidding.

It is kind of funny that big money donators down south whether it be Texas, Texas Tech, Alabama, Georgia and the list goes on will literally donate and take out major loans to donate to try and win championships. We don’t have that here and never will. Iowa rich people are more conservative with their money than people down south that live and breathe football.

If all of the alumi would give $10 a month, that would go a long way.

I blame the rich. I’m sure a lot of alumni live paycheck to paycheck like most Americans and can’t afford to donate at all. The rich need to step up and fund our program and stop buying mansions and 45,000 acres of land

Body language was terrible. This is the worst front seven of the Campbell era, combined with a mediocre DB room. Rocco has reverted to 2023 form. Nothing good from this game.

Alabama doesn't have deep NIL pockets. I heard a few weeks ago that Bear Bryant's son is their biggest donor and he's not even ultra rich. Saban wasn't sick of coaching he just didn't want to coach there if they didn't have the built in advantages they once did.

"Right there for the taking" when we were less than halfway through the season and hadn't played any of our toughest conference opponents? I think we all - self VERY MUCH INCLUDED - got out in front of our skis a bit with this team.

With the unbalanced schedules, its still possible for ISU to make the CCG but we have zero margin for error. Other teams will lose too, and who knows how the tiebreakers will work out. The path to the CFP is essentially closed unfortunately as I don't think we can beat Tech right now.

I thought we could weather the Konrardy loss, my expectations definitely lowered once we lost Cooper and Williams, though. We had a small margin of error to win the B12 and losing our two NFL-caliber CBs, we’re not a good enough team to overcome that. I expected 3 losses the rest of the way. And injuries have only gotten worse since then.

I wasn’t surprised we lost to Cincy, but yesterday was yuck. Rebound, steal one of the next two (BYU is getting by on the skin of their teeth) at home. @TCU is probably a loss. Beat KU at home and win at OSU. I’ll be happy with 8-4.

That's why they hired DeBoer. Knew they needed an elite Xs and Os guy rather than a personality for the new world

"Absolutely dog walked?"
You must have been watching Wisconsin.

Both of these losses have been disappointing. I wasn't shocked by either. Gotta regroup.

Cincy is a good team and well coached. Getting out coached by Deion.... well that's something different.
Should've been up 14-0 in the 1st quarter, instead we were down 0-7. The offense's inability to finish drives has been a problem all season.

Quite frankly, our WR are probably the worst in the conference. It's allowed teams to sell out against the run and focus on Brahmer. Teams know that even if they get beat, there's a 50% chance we're going to drop the ball anyway.

Outside of a garbage time sack in the Arizona game, we have 0 sacks the last 3 games. Brought in 3 DE’s via the portal and somehow have gotten worse.

Rushing with three only works if you have generational talent at DE like Mcdonald. Just watch him this year in the league.

You don't win 7 national championships between two different schools on your personality. Saban was the GOT of college coaching. The guy was are relentless recruiter, and was willing to change his approaching to coaching as the game evolved. Look at his coaching tree of assistance at major universities and then how many of them have actually beaten the man shows everyone he was an elite coach. When DeBoer wins half as many titles as Saban then we can start comparing the two.
