He has ALWAYS been erratic in first quarters, his whole career. Just too jacked up. Then he calms down and gets better as the game goes on.

He's gotta take the 2 yards for 2nd and 8 instead trying and failing to break something outside every time and giving us 2nd and 12. Stalling out drives left and right.

It shouldn't be 2nd and 8 though. If he just runs through the A gap he gets 5 yards untouched.

While true, they haven’t caught it today even when he did target them.

I can excuse that early on with the rain a bit, and some of that applies to the throws also.

It stopped raining a while ago. The missile launcher throws 7 yards over the air have not. Gotta settle and play ball here instead of being stuck in panic mode.

He’s athletic and he is fast, he just can’t read the field as you said. If he could the field he’d be a good back given speed.

I’m not giving up just yet, but I wouldn’t be opposed to seeing a true drive from Manske or Moberly either. Rocco just seems too jittery or high strung right now.

Watching this game is giving me a headache. Every throw is off, every run is predictable.

Why not run some misdirection for heavens sakes?
