Colorado Tailgating and Game Information

Looks like I may have an opportunity to rent a small parking lot on Colorado Avenue that is 5 blocks from the stadium. We haven't settled on a price yet, but let me know if you would be willing to pay $100 to park there. We aren't trying to make money, but just provide a place for Cyclone fan to gather like we did in Jonesboro.
Very interested - one spot

Interested in one parking spot

I sent direct messages on CF with details about parking for the Cyclone Tailgate in Boulder to everyone who already expressed interest. If you didn't get it, please send a direct message to me or reply to this post.

Unfortunately for the rest of you, we are likely to fill the lot with those who expressed interest already. However, we will keep a waiting list and are working on getting another nearby lot, so let me know if you are interested.

You are welcome to join us for the tailgate, even if you don't park in our lot. I will post details shortly.

Since Colorado is having a blackout for our game there, are we all planning on wearing cardinal so we don’t mix gold into their theme night?
Colo is doing a Black out for a day game.... Hope the Buffs roast all day in the heat.

Cyclone Tailgate in Boulder

We secured the entire parking lot of the CU Boulder Hillel at 2795 Colorado Avenue (about four blocks from the stadium) for Cyclone fans. We will host a Cyclone Tailgate before, during, and after the game with Colorado on October 11th. Please join us, even if you are not parking in this lot.

Update: We got a second parking lot and now both lots are full. Even if you are not parking with us, you are welcome to tailgate with us.

Our tailgate will include:
  • Food truck
  • Starlink and TV for watching other games
  • Music
  • Limited supply of Ames Lager, other beers, pop, Iowa liquors
  • Water coolers
  • Other treats
  • Games (Bags, Giant Jenga, Cyclone Alumni crossword puzzle, Bet $10/Win $30)
  • Porta-potties on site
  • Great Cyclone fans taking over a prominent spot in Boulder
The lot opens at 7am on Saturday. It may be the only dedicated gathering spot in Boulder for Cyclone fans before the game.

Thanks to Jared Oelmann for his initiative and help in making this opportunity available for us.

Go Cyclones!

Thanks for lining this up. We secured parking at Naropa University so if you’re holding a spot for me you can give it to someone else. Go Cyclones! Looking forward to the trip

Two things...
1. Did Colorado clear it with the hoks on the use of black?
2. Colorado got seven home games...getting tired of only 6 home games every other year

Thanks for letting me know. If you want to wander over for the tailgate before or after the game, please do so.

I regret to inform you that the second lot is full. The waiting list was long enough to fill a third lot.

Please note that you are still welcome to join us in our first lot (2795 Colorado Avenue on the CU Boulder Hillel property) for tailgating.

I will make a few phone calls tomorrow to see if I can get a third lot, but it is unlikely that I will be able to get it. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news. Hope you are able to find satisfactory accommodations for parking. Go Cyclones!

Thanks for organizing this! I'm driving up from New Mexico and was hoping someone would setup a tailgate. We are staying down town because we are going to the Great American Beer Festival Friday evening and will be taking an uber out Saturday morning. So we don't need a parking spot but we will definitely be there with beer!

We have filled two parking lots close to the stadium in Boulder. Our main tailgate will be at 2795 Colorado Avenue on the property of CU Boulder Hillel. It is in the lower right corner of this Google Maps clip. It is a wonderfully prominent place to show Cyclone Power. You are all welcome to join us for tailgating.

Slightly off topic but for anyone heading out early-Rocky Mountain National Park is open for business, and they are not checking for timed entry permits. I would recommend the Bear Lake corridor-many trails of various lengths and intensity levels available. Alberta Falls is a great 2 mile round trip to awesome waterfalls. Go Cyclones!

Just to clarify, the Park is open, but Milner Pass is closed-this could change any day but as of now you can't get to the Continental Divide
