Luke Combs at JTS

Yep, it looks like Luke Combs is coming to JTS! Jamie mentioned in his conversation with the Student Government last week that they’re looking into hosting two to four concerts a year to help drive revenue. The scope and size of each concert will vary, but it’ll be great to bring more traffic to Ames during the summer months!

Two to four a year at Jack Trice? Wow. Cytown is gonna cash in.

Maybe one at JTS and one at Hilton to start. And then, when Cytown is finished, they could host more concerts? I think he was in the initial stage of having conversations about what that would look like once the big Cytown project is finished.

I like these outdoor concerts because I can ride my bike over and listen from outside. Does Luke Combs sell out stadiums? I'm not sure I know a Luke Combs song outside of his cover of Fast Car.

The amphitheater in Cytown will also be able to host smaller concerts alongside Hilton, JTS, and Stephen’s for larger stuff.

So wait, can we buy booze at the stadium for these concerts? Because if so, what the actual ****?
During the Strait concert the sales on the field looked to be a real struggle.
People behind the beer table were hold their ipads/point of sales in the air to get connectivity for transactions to go thru.

I don't know if it was like that on the concourse or not.

I do remember hearing about that now that you mention it. How ever did we pay for things without the internet......;)

Imagine this whole time the reason we can't sell beer at JTS during games is because we have bad WiFi

Yes I would assume there would be beer/alcohol sales just like there was for George Strait. The lines were crazy though so unless you want to pay a bunch to go to the concert just to listen from the line I would suggest forgoing that.
