I’m a donor with a parking pass so this has no impact on me and I think it’s complete sh!t.I disagree. You have options. Buy donor parking. Buy single game parking when it goes on sales. Park on streets to the east and west of stadium. Parking garage and free parking by the Union. Plenty of options.
The team is undefeated. Enjoy the ride.
The fan base is struggling with the simple fact that you now have to plan ahead for things like parking, even more if you are not a donor. The days of just deciding to go to a game the week of, and rolling right in and find easy close parking for people that are not season ticket holders and donors is over. It's going to be worse next season, as young as the team is and they keep winning.
Could the university make it easier for the season ticket holders that do not donate, sure, but why would they when they want us all to donate. It's a perk of donating and when we need money that is not going away.
Season ticket holders that donate have that right, not those of us that do not donate. It's not a huge problem for many of us, we got an email that stated when the GA tickets were going to go on sale, and just purchase all of them on that day.Season ticket holders have the opportunity to purchase their grass passes. The issue I have is Iowa State/Ticketmaster is allowing these passes to be gobbled up by the brokers and that is really impacting the single game folks, which is a lot of fans. Sure JP is happy that parking revenue is essentially maximized but at what cost? If Iowa State continues to sell piles of the non donor season tickets and the public parking passes to brokers it is going to impact attendance. Fun fact: JP stated season ticket sales were strong this year but he left out the fact that a ton of the non donor seats were bough up by brokers. Just go look at the resale maps, it completely obvious. "Good" season ticket sales were definitely down this year and that was reflected in the donor parking that was available this year.
We live in a capitalist nation. He should be charging what the market will bear for the passes, he is leaving a lot of money on the table. Thats why the scalpers moved in. Free money....Season ticket holders that donate have that right, not those of us that do not donate. Not sure how you are going to stop non donor season tickets sales, do you really want to tell the fan base that they have to donate to be able to purchase a season ticket? Nor can they do anything about ticket brokers, that is all through Ticketmaster, and it's easier for the university to use them instead of doing it themselves.
Pollard wants tickets to the stadium and parking sold, he does not care who is buying them, nor should he. If you are a season ticket holder and did not purchase GA passes when the university told you the day and time they were going on sale, that is your fault, not the athletic department. We live in a capitalist nation, demand increases prices, that is not going to change.
The GA parking passes went from $25 to $40 this season before fees, $50 bucks per game would not surprise me next season. The market will tell them when they have become overpriced, when they no longer sell out before the game.We live in a capitalist nation. Always sell here, it keeps the roaches out east away. Plus **** Ticketmaster.Ticketmaster fees are absolutely insane. I sold my Cyhawk parking pass this year in C2, because I couldn't make it to the game. The purchaser paid $450 for it. I received $300 of that. So they made $150 in fees off the sale of one parking pass.
This is the reason I always try to sell on here first, so people can save some money, but obviously not everyone looking for a ticket is active on here.

I agree ISU may be reaching the point of pricing the average person out of season tickets. I figure between my four tickets, seat backs on all four and the parking pass for all six games I am around $2800 in a non donating section. So around $470 dollars a game not including food and drink for tailgating or at the game. Add that in you are easily over 3 grand for the season.Yeah I get all that but IMO telling the everyday fan that they don't matter is a slippery slope. I've been a season ticket holder since 2005 so I've been there for all of the changes the program has experienced. The GA parking pass setup is fueled by greed.
I haven't had great luck the last couple years selling tickets through here. Parking passes do sell easily though.

Its starts to add up and I see no reason for the price not be higher next season.
Could be the Iowa Men’s BB program when you could park near Carver Hawkeye for free, pay $5 for courtside seats and get free stale popcorn in the second half.
Same here. I've had to resort to facebook groups to sell mine a lot recently which sucks, because 80% of people in those groups are scammers.I haven't had great luck the last couple years selling tickets through here. Parking passes do sell easily though
Must be reason agleader is all filled nowWe could also fill the grass lots too. If you drive by those lots they aren't even close to full. IMO that's the biggest kick in the nuts for the single game fans.
