Why is the Cyclones cursive logo saggy?

Hey great props to the ISU ath dept for allowing more retro and alternative logos to work into the rotation. Overdue. Hope that continues with other logos. Keep it fun out there.

Now, look, it happens to all of us. The sagginess. The cursive logo is old and maybe it needs a facelift. See how the cursive S on the end is way droopier than the C? Gonna need to rotate this sucker a bit to the left or lift up the "..nes" to align higher with the bottom of the C and y. This has always bothered me but I'm probably the crazy one.

While we're at it, can we please get rid of the oppressive vintage stamps. No other school does this. Please don't mar the fancy retro logos.

You have done some awesome work, this one I dont agree with though, This script and the straight version one are perfect. But maybe I am not exactly understanding what you are saying needs changed.

Now the stamp, I agree, I hate it. Anyone have a reason for why they do it? I was told at one point they sold or dropped the rights to these old logos, is it possible that is the reason? Seems strange, but I dont really know.

It must be whoever has the rights in the state. UNIs retro logos have the same thing.

Annoying.

I had no idea. Went to Homefield Apparel and interestingly enough the majority of their vintage gear does NOT have a vintage stamp:

If you were to draw a horizontal line from the bottom of the C and Y, everything stays above it until, for some reason, that line cuts off half of the S shape. That's what makes it look off balance to me. The straight version doesn't have that issue.

They look the same to me. So what you are saying is nothing changes just that the entire logo needs to rotate slightly counter-clockwise to level the entire logo? Not actually changing the font or design?

Agree... I'm not seeing any sagging at all. put a ruler across the bottom and the left side of the logo is the same height as the right side is.

This. K - you are a legend. But the Cyclones script - in both forms - is perfection.

It's not an issue my friend :)

What is an issue is when they use other random cursive fonts on polos and charge $90. TJ and staff have been wearing a generic Microsoft Word script font Cyclones Polo on the sidelines for a couple seasons and it bothers the sh*t out of me!

So you’re saying we could all make our own to look just like theirs?

Love the script but it’s definitely inconsistently placed on helmets. I know it’s because there are a variety of helmet shapes. They should be able to get it right on a t-shirt though.

I wanna know why okie st goes curved and straight?
