You would also never see other P4 teams on the road if the money wasn't a big factor but yet a LOT of P4 travel each year to a lesser school. B12 and ACC teams won't have much choice with the disparity in money the SEC and B10 can afford to pay out.

This has been shown multiple times to be a massive exaggeration in other threads.
Not many P4 teams are doing this with the regularity we do, without some kind of additional motive or history, or not at least getting a 2 for 1 out of it.
My excuse for not donating to WeWill is that I simply don't want to, feel like that is a very valid excuse for just about anyone that chooses to not participate.
If they were $4 million in benefit, I’m shocked we haven’t been doing them more. Especially back when we had less for home attendance (and only 8 conference games).
And we should expect to see a lot more, at ISU and other P4 schools, as schools look to save money in order to handle the step-change in costs from revenue sharing

Case in point... At Iowa game, concessions were out of pretzels and hotdogs before the end of the 1st quarter (before Noon).

Would you donate money to your favorite NFL or NBA team so they can bring in a new free agent? I'll always bleed cardinal and gold, but I can't see donating money to pay six figure player salaries for an athletic department with over $120 million in revenue per year.
It’s fairly common for other P4 schools. Yeah not every year, and we don’t do it every year either. Other schools get a hell of a lot more money from donors as well, hence why they may not need to do it as often.

Given when this was scheduled, it was possible to get two home games under $3 million. Factoring in lost revenue from not having a home game, and it is no where near $4 million benefit
The real issue is scheduling it in the first place, as there are often cancellation penalties.

What's the expected value of a top 15 team sucking ass or losing in Arkansas? That's a different sort of analysis than the dollar and cents analysis that CPA's apply,
I agree however Campbell kinda set the tone with what he would say about this game publicly and I think it translated over to the players
