***2025 Week 2 (Sept. 5-6) CFB Games Thread***

Mildcats held to a field goal on their first possession against Army.

That’s gonna happen if the playoffs keep expanding. Already half the teams don’t belong in the playoff, expansion just means more average teams or bad teams with weak schedules get in

7 at large is what Big Ten thinks it needs, that's Iowa last year with possibly the worst QB play in football history...auto bid.

Yep and I’ve always disagreed as do most fans. He’s doing his job as commish even if no one wants what he is selling

They need a governing body that checks them when what is short term good for Big Ten greed is horrifically bad for long term health of the sport.

Probably too late after they destroyed Pac.

The reason I used to always tell people college football was better than NFL is that every game counts and you had to be almost perfect to win a championship. Big Ten comissioner wants to turn college football into a "mail it in" regular season where total turd teams like Iowa with no QB get in.

Dude PAC12 leadership destroyed that conference. LA schools pulled the trigger but complete ineptitude loaded the gun. You saw this first had with Jason Schreers reporting

Everyone talks about the upfront costs, but what's the financial damage at risk with those road losses? A lot more difficult to quantify, but it definitely exists.

Are we on the books for more of these or is Ark St the last one?

I know Tulane but we're treating that almost like Vegas or Ireland.

From your mouth to Pollard’s ears.
Here is the problem with that.

If you dont want home and home, you have to pay them.

We are looking at how much of a budget shortfall in the future? We dont have the $ to pay them.

This has been the main reason we do home and home with G5 teams, vs paying them to come here. You see a few of the higher budget teams are willing to pay teams to play at there home field, but I doubt you see us doing that very often if ever.
