Why ISU will win the Big 12 championship

I love Coach Campbell and hope he has success at Penn State, but lets be honest... he was never gonna win us a conference title or get us into the college football playoff. He won a lot of games and did a long list of amazing things at ISU, including getting guys to the NFL, but he was too stubborn to fix the things that were not working. It got very frustrating at times and was a small price to pay for all the good things he brought us. Hopefully Rogers is not like that. I have a feeling he is gonna have an Iowa-style team, run first and play tough defense. That's fine if he is winning. We will see how everything goes.

He got this program with a potentially game winning drive in the big 12 title game with the best QB in the history of the program at the helm. To say never is dumb.

Guys we can be excited about the future it’s fine. This constant need to tear down Campbell around here is just weird.

Thought it was worth looking at the past few decades of ISU football:

McCarney = brought out the defib paddles, beat Iowa often, birth of modern ISU football and bowl games.

Chizik = a fancy hire made possible by ISU's improved image, brought in some great recruits including, yes, Grant Mahoney.

Rhoads = first to show that top 25 upsets were possible and, maybe even ... expected?

Campbell = high floor coach, first to win 10+ games, first to appear in major bowl game, NFL players

Using this clear evidence, since progress is absolutely always a linear path with no deviations, it's pretty clear what's next:

THE Iowa State University led by Jimmy Rogers will win the Big 12 Championship and one of his position groups or player will win a major trophy. After all, he already won a national championship. The first one is always the hardest. Overcome with passion, the Big 10 will invite ISU over Notre Dame.

It's science.
This reminds me, I forgot to have any alcoholic eggnog this year

The reality is even with NIL, every team has injuries throughout the year. If Jimmy Rogers does a good job, we should be in the hunt for B12 titles.

Never win a conference championship ? Strange thing to say about the coach that brought us to the point of playing for a conference championship.
