I haven't read what others posted, so my "take" might be a repeat.
1/ Tall, athletic bigs really bother Jefferson, normally our hardest-to-guard player.
2/ Really athletic guards neutralize the advantages that we have with Tamin and Toure, who are both really athletic guards.
Cinci had both of these (plus home court) and suddenly an average team could beat us. Kansas had both, too, and their bigs in particular bothered Jefferson. (Adding to that, Buchanan didn't play well in either game.)
I'm not sure how to adjust but it sure feels like having a 2nd weapon from 3-point land would open things up for Jefferson. Fingers crossed that Bateman keeps getting more comfortable. Or if Heise regains his shooting form from the end of last season, that would be huge.
