Too late to seed grass?

I have a patch of lawn that I’ve treated for grubs. Killing the actively feeding ones. Now I’ll wait for the just before the freeze, put down some preventative grub control and grass seed. Should lay dormant over the winter and activate in the spring.

Why isn't this the City's job to repair your lawn as part of their work? Call your city hall and see when they will seed it.

In most communities it's the responsibility of the homeowner to care for the parking between the sidewalk and the curb. Give the city a call and ask about if they are planning to come out and seed the area, if not, it falls on you.

While it may be a small area, the City and if they are in Iowa is still required to abide by the Iowa DNR General Permit #2 requirement within the scope of their work. Call City Hall if they refuse to replace it ask them about abiding by 0/14 rule in General Permit #2 if not report City to DNR for not abiding by General Permit #2. Each state will call what Iowa calls "General Permit #2" something different.

I knew you were a civil engineer before I even looked at your name. :)

Basically any month other than August and February are fine times to seed.
