Qualifying Round (seeds 5-12) will play a Best of 5 series. The top 4 teams will will play in a Round Robin to determine those seeds:

Given that play is going to be in the middle of the summer, ice quality is going to be a huge issue. Surprised Bell Centre in Montreal was left off the host list. I'm going to go with United Center and Rogers Place as the hub rinks.
