College sports is changing by the day and part of that is the death of the "hate watch."

For me as long as the Iowa Hawkeyes and Kansas Jayhawks exist I'll have places to channel my hate. What I struggle with this losing the multiyear connection of cheering for and watching players like Lipsey, Purdy and Darian Porter develop. It feels way tougher to feel connected to a team.

The test of Iowa State hate will be when Audi Crooks returns. I can't cheer for Oklahoma State to win at Hilton, but I can give a nice positive welcome when Audi is introduced.

The wbb crowd is fairly forgiving I'm guessing a gentle round of applause with a scattering of boos.

Haluska was boo'd heartily but he went to Iowa.

Reports of the hate watch’s death are greatly exaggerated. I hope Penn State loses every game. I’d absolutely boo Campbell or Momcilovic if they ever played a game at Jack Trice/Hilton.

One of the best aspects of sports is irrational hate.
