With the rule this year that all players are given an extra year of eligibility, are University's limited to 85 total FB scholarships or is there going to be a one year waver. If not, what will be the result if most come back and you have to cut back on the new recruits?

That problem is for 2022.

Returning seniors won’t count against the 85 schollys. Not sure how title 9 scholly allotment is affected.
I think I read somewhere that Title 9 gets a pass this year, because everyone gets an extra year of eligibility, since its offered to everyone, every school would be in compliance.

Thank you. I wasn't sure how the NCAA would work this out. Is the NCAA going to help with the finances, or will it be up to individual schools?

Can you dig up your link to this? I would be interested to see whether it was commentary, or if it was a definitive change. I am no legal eagle, but my understanding is that "Title 9" entails compliance against a federal statute. That being the case, the NCAA would not be able to change it without an act of Congress.
