Texas Tech 10 Million Dollar Portal Season

Massive win for Cody Campbell. Tech saves its season AND outrage across college sports will push sentiment toward Federal intervention and the Score Act.

Valid points, but the core three also had realize that together they just weren't enough to make a deep run. No reason to stay at ISU given what we could pay them, regardless of any other issues. Audi => more money at OSU Jada => more money and final four program at LSU Addy => more money and...

    Coach Steyer announces retirement

It will be interesting to see how it plays out. Pollard told both TJ and Mouse he wasn't going to hire them as head coach without head coaching experience. Does Billy have that (asking cuz I don't know)?

NAME, image and likeness. It's the first one in the list. I really don't understand why team leaves the player's name off the jersey. You would think the agents would demand it was there.

Typically, WBB gives scholarships to all roster spots because of Title IX. Easy way to get women's scholly count up.

    WBB: 2026 Transfer Portal

Declaring a team preseason top 10 is kind of meaningless. Fun that media recognizes the star power of a few names, but that’s all it is worth. Not much talent difference between 10 and 30 right now. A handful of teams with large budgets are way ahead of everyone else talent wise. The parody...

    WBB: 2026 Transfer Portal

1500 WBB players entered the portal last year. 300 never found a new school. There will be a bidding war for the elite players, but most transfers will not end up getting paid more. There will be a team. It will be made up largely of players moving up to try P4 and bench players from other...

    WBB: 2026 Transfer Portal

This is true. Conferences with big TV deals and solvent athletic departments don't have to compete directly with the players for donor money (SEC/Big10) so there will be funds to around. I fear much of the Big12 and ACC are not in this boat. NIL donations in the last several years negatively...

Remains to be seen, but the first full year after that hip surgery for athletes is usually an off year, even if the athlete is technically fully healthy. If she isn't back to form next year, then I'd be more critical.

This is how he is spending the $20.5 revenue share. Not really NIL. But if you opt in the Uni can use your NIL to make money. You can get your own NIL with Uni permission. You can opt out. And have sole control of your NIL. Jada and Audi likely opted out but I have no knowledge of this.

Per an interview with Jamie in December. Football$13M Men’s Basketball$5M Wrestling$1M Women’s Basketball$750K Taking money from WBB to give to other sports seems barely worth the effort. The ladies that are making a lot of money have outside deals that Jamie wouldn't really control.

New floor for Big 12 MBB/WBB

The floor was a mistake. Blame injuries if you want, but it looks terrible on TV. They couldn't go into the semifinals with that ugly floor. Especially with multi-screen viewing everywhere at the bars, at the sports book, in quad-box at home. It doesn't look professional at all side by side...

New floor for Big 12 MBB/WBB

Comparing the images/videos of the floor on social media to actually watching it on TV, it is pretty clear they are messing with the colors and vibrance on social media. I watched a bit of the champ game and the WV blue and TCU purple sides were very muted. Just a tinge of color but still...

New floor for Big 12 MBB/WBB

As someone who stares at a large LED screen all day, I have to wonder if the muted gray color is actually a necessity. Shiny wood floors that reflect light sources is one thing, but making the floor the actual light source might make vibrant colored flooring impossible to play on.

Post Arizona Venting - What’s the Fix?

Nah, this was exactly what the Big12 intended. No competition with NFL or CFB. Schedule your best games in February. Be a ratings monster, generate perceived value. Break BBall off as separate TV/streaming contract at next negotiating cycle. These big games on Saturday and Monday in late...
