    Watched the entire game last night and it had a fun, old school vibe. No home runs for the cubs, tons of singles and doubles, lots of walks drawn, good base running, and solid defense. Was a fun one, especially with a pro-Cub crowd on an opponent’s field.

    Every other Big 10 and SEC team is also trying to “spend its way into contention”. Are they nationally irrelevant too? Trying to understand Randy’s point other than the Big 12 is at a disadvantage which literally everyone on this site knows.

    He was in Des Moines this morning. Crazy that him and Thorton were pitching in front of 500 fans in Iowa this week and both pitching today. Especially Thorton yesterday, that was as high leverage situation as you’ll get this early in the season and he killed it.
