    The general fan is saying UConn is the best but we have a shot cuz anything can happen...sort of vibe. The team and the coaches...literally believe they can win this. So that is super encouraging. Tough tough game

    Well, they play in the Big 10. It is pretty physical. Moorehead St said the same thing about the physicality. The thing that is surprising and also is not, Illinois was a very good D to start the year but then the O took off and they got lazy on D. Big 10 tourney they started to turn it back...

    yeah. he rebuilt Illinois but he built them to compete/win the big 10. success. but the team was not right for March. They dissected all the sweet 16 teams and changed everything. 2 years later, here they are. He is a super stubborn guy by nature, he will say this, so this has been huge...

    Not to be a turd here but.... you should beat us tonight (though i expect it to be close) but I do not think you would beat Purdue if you ever play them. They are that good sadly.

    Good luck tonight. May the best team win and as long as nobody whines a boat ton or nobody plays really dirty... If my Illini lose I will be pulling for ISU going forward. I love me some D and I only root for teams that have not won it all (hence, I follow Illinois lol).:cool::D

    I could see this. The only thing is Illinois is now playing a LOT better than they were even a few weeks ago. This will be an interesting game. I frankly would not be surprised by a variety of outcomes tbh but my gut says ISU in a close one.

    Other interesting things....as I leave for work... There has been no higher rated offense in college hoops than illinois (126.7) since Villanova in 2018 (127.8). However, Villanova had a great D too unlike Illinois. In that same timeframe, there have been 13 equal or better defenses that ISU...
