    I don't find this "nitpicking," at all! The fact of the matter is, the B1G claims to be on par with the SEC. It is clearly NOT. Outside of 2, or at most 3, of the B1G teams, the rest are mediocre or just suck (looking at you Squakeyes).

    Georgia or Auburn, probably, yes. Not Alabama. Surprisingly, NIL will slowly be the undoing of Alabama. They don't have the support system (at least not yet) in place to pay much.

    Here's the problem, outside of Oregon, tOSU and Michigan (Indiana was a complete outlier), the B1G is totally mediocre to very bad. Getting 4 automatics is such a power grab. Sorry Iowa, you suck. Suck it.

    I agree, but it has to be a cap per sport, not a blanket cap per school. Otherwise, schools without football will have a huge advantage.

    This is just silly. If sports don't matter to incoming students, then why TF do you think so many kids choose to go to shiate hole schools like Texas or Ohio State? Because they want to "be associated with" a winner (whatever the hell that means).

    I think most high school players should be aiming to playing at a mid-major, if they are not a top-50 recruit. The reason is that they have better odds of getting playing time and racking up good stats against mid-major teams. Then, they have a much better chance to land a NIL transfer spot...

    This thread is too long! I don't see a valid cite that this is a thing. Anyone have one? The only thing I find is a Sports Illustrated link that admits it is just rumor.
