Instead of resurrecting the Brock Purdy thread I'll just put this here:
I wasn't able to watch the Bears / Packers game (and apparently Williams was decent in that 2nd half ;)), but of all the QBs I've seen this weekend I wouldn't trade any of them for Brock, except for Allen.
Not bad to be a...
To me it's pretty simple, if ISU plays it's game they will win. If not, and KU plays well they will win. At the end of the day, we'll be #2 in the nation either way and it's a loss that isn't going to haunt us long term. Just an opportunity to play a road game in another gym and see what happens.
Listening to the 9ers post game show on Sirius and they mentioned that they are hearing rumors of the 9ers C Hox game the 7 pm game on Saturday evening.
Not excited about a short week after this game, but I have a feeling they know what they were talking about.
Essentially a game time decision today. Got to think with another week of rest he'll be playing... If not, might need to move on from him in the off-season. He's been good in the limited time he's actually been healthy, but those times have been few and far between.
Dre Greenlaw popped his in the SuperBowl and came back the following year with, I think, around 3 games remaining. If Kittle hits the same schedule he'd be back around final 3rd of the year next year.
He just got an extension before this season, and is such a competitor and just loves the game...
Kinda figured with Trent. Disappointed that Pearsall is out yet again. That guy can't stay on the field.
Definitely makes a difficult game all the harder to win. Need all hands on deck for this one.
Interesting, looking at the hourly forecast for Santa Clara right now I'm seeing:
10, 10, 10, 25% chance of precip for the hours of 5, 6, 7, and 8 respectively. Hope the 70% chance is way overblown and the 10% is more accurate.
Gameday!
Going to be a battle tonight.
Good on good matchup with 49ers offense against the Seattle Defense.
Need the 49ers D to find a way to stop the run so that they have a chance to hurry up Darnold on obvious passing downs to force him into making mistakes.
It's not likely to be easy, but...
Well that was a fun game
Glad to survive with the W and hope they can get another home win Saturday night.
Obviously D has a lot to get fixed, but the offense playing like this can obviously cover up a lot of warts. Amazing how Brock, and thee entire offense, was able to stay so grounded...
