    Random ISU FB player you remember

    Once upon a time there was a middle linebacker named Mike Shane. I think he made all the tackles on a famously porous "bad times at ISU" defense. I always imagined that he spent each Saturday night in a hyperbaric chamber to recover.

Look at wrestling: we have a great development culture and thus compete at an elite level. No such structure exists...

    ISU MBB coaches in NCAA sweet 16

    Orr literally carried all of ISU athletics on his back for a decade or more. His teams brought excitement game in and game out. His zinger insults of Iowa were the stuff of legend. TJ is great, but for me Orr is still the foundation of modern ISU basketball. Here's to the future.

    Unpopular take: Dresser is a well liked but average coach who has leveraged ISU’s above average wrestling support to deliver above average but unspectacular results. I fear this is the best it gets.

    Stalling continues to kill folkstyle wrestling in two ways: 1) when teams teach it, and 2) when the official bodies absolutely cannot figure out how to get refs to call it proactively and objectively. Put those two together, and you've got OSU in Stillwater. Where wrestling excitement goes to die.

    Just tuned in ... tuning right back out. OSU is boring, and ISU is apparently happy to meet them there.
