Finally Vivian Gray is gone..she was at Oklahoma State for two years and then her last two at Tech....she was their best player by a far margin. We've been pretty good against Tech in years past and haven't struggled in Lubbock at all.

Hoping for a nice road win.

Cheering for the W. Does anyone know who in Ames would be carrying the women on the TV? Would stop and watch after the men's game Brick City or WestTown pub perhaps?

If you're going to the men's game, there probably won't be more than 5:00 of the women's game left by the time you get of Hilton, out of the parking lot, and to an establishment. Especially if you're trying to go up north to Wallaby's, or out west to West Towne.

Well here is to the ladies starting 1-0. I really don't know how the ladies are going to end up this yr. The potential is the best we've ever had but the losses have looked really bad. Hopefully Bea can get back and supply some added depth up front.

All ten teams are playing Saturday. Two of those should be pretty cut and dried. ISU should take care of business in Lubbock. TT has a good looking record but considering their pushover schedule I am not yet impressed. If they win then there is trouble in paradise.

The same with TCU at Baylor. This ought to be an easy opening win for the Bears. If not OMG lift your hands in prayer. However the next two for BU on the road at OU & KU could be devastating.

KSU at TX is tougher to predict. TX should walk away if they have discovered their chemistry. If not, well they may enter the conference looking like a de-horned heifer.

KU at OSU should be heavily favored toward the Jayhens. But we actually don't really know yet how OSU will stack up in Big 12 this year. It's likely though that they will be fighting WV, TU, & TT for bottom rights.

OU is certainly favored at WVU. But who are the Mountaineers this year. This game should reveal their identity Sooner than later.

Let me just say…. I don’t know that Ashley Joens is necessarily a better basketball player than Kaitlin Clark, but I’m so glad we have Ashley instead of Clark on our team.

I’d be embarrassed if Clark was a Cyclone. She is a horrible person on the basketball court. All the antics and arrogance, etc. I’ve never seen Ashley act like that.

If she was a Cyclone, I don’t think Bill would allow her pull the crap she does?

IMO - The actions on the court absolutely reflect their head coaches. Fran / Bluder whine and complain the entire game and their teams for the most part mimic them. Bill has a reputation for being fiery but his side line demeanor is 1000% better than either of them.

I do think that Clark is a good kid (unlike the McCaff brothers) and think that Iowa WBB has done her a disservice allowing her to be act the way she does on the court.

I see what you did there. I've got ISU in the top 4 in the conference but have no idea how it will play out. Last yr people thought it might be ISU's yr but it wasn't. I think Baylor, Tx, ISU, KSU or KU could end up on top when it is done. Should see some pretty darn good games this season.

Yeah, I’ve heard Clark is a good kid off the court, that’s why I specifically said on the court. She’s awful on the court.

I’m sure Joens could launch horrible 3’s from 30+ feet and nail a few too, but it’s not good for the team and is selfish. The way the media gushes about Clark’s shots from the logo is laughable.

Yea - the media never lets stats get in the way of a good highlight.

This is on the scoreboard screens in Hilton during halftime of the mbb game! Looks like fouls are really in season :( 4 in first 5 min?
