Heskett is one of our great ones and he was so fun to watch. However, that Olympic Gold earned Jake a Banner in Hilton and that alone puts him in the rarest of company. Congrats Mr. Varner!

No disagreement there. But their collegiate accolades are similar, and Heskett's been out longer. Hopefully 2021 or 2022 for Joe.

Not to derail this Varner thread, but...

Coulda/woulda/shoulda but Joe made his first World team in 2007 right before his heart issues. He would have been a top contender in the 08 Olympics. Always been a fan and felt for him that he was always overshadowed. Just watched a video where he said he had 9 losses in college and 8 of them were in OT.
