I've seen this thread elsewhere and wonder if Cyclone fans are gaining, maintaining or losing interest in the game due to ESPN Plus, the overall style of play, NCAA recruiting investigations, Cyclone performance, or whatever. Comments?

Myself, I'd say interest is slipping somewhat as the Cats are awful and the platforms are not conducive to watching other teams play. I'll sit here and watch K-State on ESPN Plus but I'm not switching over to watch Ku. I think the platform thing is a real threat to the overall product.

If someone wants to make an actual poll out of this topic, please do.

If K-State was any good, you’d be on here everyday making a new thread about MBB. It wouldn’t matter if the games were on Nickelodeon.

I think it's becoming harder to just tune into a game. A few years ago I would be flipping around and see a close KU vs OU game, stop and watch. Now I am not jumping on ESPN plus and seeing who is playing and what the scores are. So in my opinion the streaming thing is hurting the game. A lot of watching my team though has to do with Wins and Losses. If we are decent or better I am watching. If we suck I am not into it much anyway.

I think a lot of the games on ESPN+ wouldn't be televised any way would they be? Or at least not on any of the basic channels?

All K-State games were televised last year, the OOC mostly on Fox Midwest. I'm sure ISU games were also available in the region.
Well Iowa State has Cyclonestv for most of the OOC games

In general I can watch any college football game no matter the teams. In basketball I pretty much only watch the Clones except March Madness.

Still rabid about bball but this 2 week lull we always have this time of year makes it easy to tune out until league play starts. It's tough to get excited about playing a directional team once every 10 days.

I was thinking about this, and there are similarities between the NBA and NFL as well. I can sometimes watch the NBA, but could easily sit down on the couch and watch every NFL game on Sunday. I really like CBB, and tune in every now and then, but outside of the tournaments played throughout the year and then obviously March Madness, I don't watch much regular season outside of ISU. However, on Saturday's I'm glued to the TV the entire day.

I think part of it could be that every weekend during the fall, you have two days filled with football. During the winter, games are spread throughout the week and aren't lined up quite like CFB and the NFL are.
