I have a few bands that I really enjoy, but are so goofy or weird or silly that they've never really become huge. What are some of yours - post some videos!

Here are a few:

Republican Hair - "Miss Prince":

Electric Six - "Danger, High Voltage" (likely NSFW, listen for Jack White in the chorus):

Ames' own Leslie Hall - "Zombie Killer":

Being in college in the late 90s/early 2000s was pretty awesome due to the huge amount of music that became more easily discovered due to the internet.

This was one of my favorites, but they never really got big.

I was a pretty big fan of The Buddy Revelles, who I think were out of Chicago.

I saw them in a small bar in Eau Claire and it was great. I love their first 2 albums.

I listened to "Pumpkin" by them about 500 times!

YFF eventually got "more serious" (maintaining a thread of goofiness) ... first few albums, silliness was at the forefront. There was a good dose of clever & satire woven into it, but it wasn't always immediately apparent. On the surface, most of it was novelty.
