RTT...20-20 hindsight.

My daughter wanted me to look into Ella Langley tickets at Wells Fargo. They went on sale at 10 and were almost sold out 10 minutes later. She must be a pretty popular artist.
Probably the hottest name in country right now. I looked yesterday and nosebleeds were $100 a ticket.

The biggest problem in concert ticket sales is the presales. The secondary markets can create 1000s of fan club members to get early access to tickets.
By the time tickets go on sale to the general public they sell out in 10 minutes because there weren't that many left. Yet StubHub, Vivid Seats and the other resellers have a boatload of tickets to sell at a substantial markup at the same time.

Dark confessions I try to like the world cup, but in reality I just don't care about soccer enough. The fans are fun to see in the cities, their chants and stuff are fun but soccer itself it's just not my cup of tea. I'm glad other people enjoy it though. Even read the soccer thread but just not my thing.

I bought a different intown mower this year. First time the wife has mowed with it.

I teach her how to do everything on it. Go inside to use the restroom and when I get out I see her going between these bushes which will scratch the crap out of it. So I go inside not to see it. Now I keep hearing these chunks like she’s running over rocks with it. May need to sharpen the blades by the time she is done.
Growing up, one of my first early chores was to help pick up sticks in the yard before mowing. That's been engrained in me for a long time. The wincing I would do when they mowed my apartment complex in Ottumwa because they didn't pick up sticks before hand. I was afraid debris was going to come through a broken window.

Last time the World Cup was in the USA I said I would give it a chance. That didn't last long. I just can't get into it. I've always said there is a reason why they have riots in the stands. There's nothing happening on the field to keep the spectators engaged so they get drunk and fight.

Well, as if i didn't have enough going on, these winds split a tree down the middle in our front lawn. Just missed a window. Now I get to get a chainsaw, hopefully that was not stolen when they broke into my machine shed, and see if i can salvage the one half that is still standing. I don't want to start with a new tree. This one seems healthy so I have no idea how it could just split down the middle. We planted it when we built so it is probably a 30 year old tree, not an old maple by any sorts.

I dont know about that but last time my kid got tapped playing basketball it cost me over $600 in ER and Urologist bills. And what did we learn for that amount, kid has sensitive balls.
Ummm not to be insensitive but were they swollen otherwise why did you take him?

What age is it when kids start believing their parents aren’t dumber than them on everything? 23-25?
About right, once they get married and start having kids, many of them realize that they themselves do not have all the answers, and maybe their folks were really on to something, when they said do this or don't do that. When they get into their 30s and 40s is when it really hits home for them.

My oldest two were when they got their first job they asked for advice then. My 19 won’t listen to anything and I’ve already had two practice runs on the older two.

I'd say close to 25 because if you stay in the area you went to college (like me) you still may be going out like you are in college.

Around that 25 I started to get their advice on mortgage, insurance, etc.
