2026-27 ISU Football offensive scheme?

just hope it’s not the late ‘90s game plan.

1st and 10: draw up the middle. No gain
2nd and 10: draw up the middle. Loss of 2 yards
3rd and 12: draw up the middle. No gain.

35 yard punt

Not enough durable RBs like Hansen. Mostly scatbacks on the roster IMO.

This is what I’m worried about as well. It doesn’t seem like we have the kind of backs needed for the system we want to run. Not that they don’t have talent, I’m more worried about injuries and depth. If Peppers is back to full strength, that changes things.

Don't overlook Easton Miller too honestly. I've heard the staff mention his name a couple times... and he's 6'1" 225 lbs... tough runner. I think he sees some snaps too.

Then why did they build a roster of 17 WRs?
Good question, I'm not sure. I tend to think WRs and DBs clog up lots of roster spots for developmental reasons, it's not like we're putting 4/5 WR out there every play and becoming Leach. Roehl likes his TEs, they're gonna be out there, and we know that's a successful part of our program identity. Especially if they're being expected to block more often.
