Texas Tech 10 Million Dollar Portal Season

Other articles I have read over the past couple weeks indicated Sorsby probably wasn't going to get drafted in the Supplemental because of his gambling baggage and teams not wanting to give up a pick in 2027 regular draft.

The NFL being able to have or not have a Supplemental Draft seems exclusive of an entity that answers to no one. Sorsby applies, so I feel the NFL should be required to have a draft.

Heck, it not like NFL has to go through a huge process or expense. Just have the 30 teams submit what round they would be willing to draft Sorsby. The team indicating the highest round with highest draft spot in 2026 draft gets Sorsby and gives up corresponding round draft pick in 2027 draft. If none of 30 teams want Sorsby then he becomes a FA.

The letter laid it out perfectly. He sent in no other information other than his application. Just ignored the fact that he is a degenerate gambler. No accountability or remorse. Just realized he will lose to the NCAA and tried to skirt the issues.

So Sorsby and his lawyer should be able to force the NFL to have a supplemental draft?

Weird take. NFL doesn't operate out of west Texas.

Meanwhile in other gambling news:

Strange. But other gambling platforms are sponsors of the major sports leagues and pretty much every professional sport has some sort of gambling advertising in the stadium. It’s just making it’s debut in college

So I personally don’t have an issue with this, but I can understand why there would be some public outrage

At least the sports books are giving back.

This should be a nothing burger in the news, but it won’t be. Who cares what patch is on the jersey, honestly. I’d rather this than schools begging their fans to crowd fund their athletics department
