I've been somewhat out-of-loop on CBB offseason, had there been speculation about that possibility recently?

Apparently Scheyer said he wasn't leaving Duke, and the Mavs turned their attention to May. Michigan players have 15 days to go elsewhere starting five days after a new coach is announced, if they want.
Interesting tidbit from the ESPN report:
(May is) the first college head coach to take an NBA job since former Michigan coach John Beilein took the Cleveland Cavaliers job in 2019. The last to leave college immediately after winning a national title was Kansas' Larry Brown in 1988. Florida's Billy Donovan was the most recent NCAA title-winning coach to leave for the NBA, in 2015.

I imagine most would stay. I would think nearly every P5 team has their rosters set for next season
McCollums already recruiting that point guard. Would be dumb of Michigan to not just hire him and also get that point guard
If that's it, pretty underwhelming. If I'm Michigan and want to keep continuity I'd just try to hire Joyner back who was on staff last year and took oregon state job
This is who most want or Joyner. Don’t think TJ is leaving ISU. Might make him say no though
I wonder if interim is literal in this scenario and just until they hire a new guy. Michigan can do better even late in game
I’m very doubtful he is more then just a placeholder which is wild as that means going into the 2026 seasons we have placeholder coaches for the two main revenue sports
