Big XII options for sanctioning Texas Tech

It was fun while it lasted, but predictable outcome

But there’s going to be a lot of conferences against factions of their own, with schools threatening to leave, if conference governance is the future

Great news!

Could Tech handled the situation any worse?
Well, they could have launched a national robocall initiative aggressively reminding random citizens that keeping Sorsby on the team was vital to maximize the return on their billionaire donors' contributions. Right before sending a follow-up text asking for GoFundMe contributions to offset "inflationary operational costs."

So yes, they could have handled it worse.

tech really showed their true colors in this too all for it to go the way they didn’t want haha
My favorite quote from the Texas Tech AD

“As we have said before, we do not believe that the circumstances of Brendan’s case warranted permanent ineligibility,”

This surely won’t haunt Tech for years to come, right?

Hmmm... maybe the NCAA can now turn it's attention to Indiana and Cincinnati, where Sorsby played while making bets on his own team.

All they needed to do was the original Hocutt statement. Anything beyond that from them was beyond stupid.

This was the most likely outcome all along and they were going to be better off with a healthy Will Hammond.

Cincy was aware when betting app firm notified NCAA of Sorsby being blocked. Cincy ran through compliance check with NCAA and nothing was unearthed beyond that due to Sorsby lying and privacy rules.

Not sure about IU but Cincy is in the clear based on interview with Cincy insider.

Time to kick the Tech President off being Yormark's right hand man now. He's not going to do anything for the Big 12 now.

New Taco Tech motto......

Sorsby probably isn't eligible for the supplemental draft.

He's technically still eligible to play NCAA Football and the supplemental draft is only for players that are ineligible. He's in a real spot here and I hope the absolute worst outcome for him.
The timeline was too tight to try and do both. His team knew their goose was cooked fighting the NCAA/Big 12.
