Big XII options for sanctioning Texas Tech

The Big 12 needs to step up and put a halt to Sorsby's eligibility. If the conference doesn't, the initial rumblings we've heard from the B1G & SEC (about boycotting TTU) will only intensify. If TTU then has a stellar season, the Big 12 CONFERENCE's credibility will take an even more severe hit because our representative to the playoffs is a "team that cheats." I don't think the B1G or SEC respects our conference anyway, but this would give them ammo to publicly denounce our conference. Honestly, I would love for the Big 12 to kick Taco Tech to the curb - this, for me, is approaching Baylor levels of disdain.
TT couldn't have handled this situation any worse if it had tried. They're not going to get Sorsby on the field, and they're actively murdering their national reputation. Literally no one else in the country is on their side in all this.

There is zero morality when it comes to college sports in the state of Texas.

They were largely irrelevant before the getting hate from being a Greenblood

I don’t think it’s been strategic move in the sense they realized being the villain is the only main character role available to them, but the result is essentially the same

And the other schools in the Big 12, and the league office know it. They have no fear Tech could get angry and try to bolt for another league. The Big 10 and SEC won't touch them. Good on the Big 12 for using leverage.

It's really crazy that no adults in the room stood up to this madness. But this is kind of what you see now: people doing awful, unseemly things and then doubling down claiming they're the ones being victimized somehow.

If Tech continues down this road in fighting for Sorsby and ultimately playing him, they'll become a national pariah. Everyone outside of Lubbock will hate them.

It’s 2026 in America. There are no adults in the room anymore. There’s no accountability for anything, and the lunatics are running the asylum

Good article in CBS Sports. Big 12 is asking Federal court if they can use Big 12 rules and by laws to solve this. They want to stay out of Texas courts. TT would not be able to play in Championship game, plus more?

Just boot them to the PAC 8 or whatever it is or the Mt West, whatever those two conferences are these days.
If they booted them, I dont see any of the other conferences wanting them. They arent worth enough, and their billionaire booster that just buys players and teams is not making them any more enticing to any other P4 league, either. They are quickly getting the problem child rep, and dont have the clout of UT to make up for it.
This is what happens when schools (in this case Tech) don't know their true place in college athletics. Just because of their new sugar daddy, they think they're now among the very top of the heap. Not quite how it works though. You have to actually win something of substance and not just once or twice. Just ask Okie St.

I'm not counting on the Iowa AG to chime in.
Eh, I wouldn't be so sure. She can basically cut and paste what the other red state AGs have done and be on the right side. I kind of expect Iowa, WV and Florida to all jump in pretty quickly here if TT doesn't back down.

Pretty important precedent is going to be made on this case. If Tech wins, the notion conference self-governance that the P2 have clamored for goes out the window imo

We have skin in the game here. Iowa AG should get on board since both Iowa and Iowa State had athletes involved in gambling and were made ineligible. Oklahoma, Kansas and Utah AG's are backing the NCAA and Big XII decision.

That dumb ***** refused to prosecute the cop who was spying illegally.
IDK if you even WANT her to chime in.
