That power sinker that Brown added is freaking nasty.

If, and it's a huge if, Horton and Wiggins can ever stay healthy that's as good a top 3 from a stuff perspective as there is in baseball.

I am not surprised Brown has turned into a dude, he’s always had the stuff. But I am surprised he’s doing this as a starter. I thought he could turn into a great high leverage bullpen guy but he’s been nothing short of incredible through his first few starts. Really fun to see. Time to go on a huge tear PCA
Same here. I thought they just needed to commit to developing him as a reliever like they did Palencia who was a former starter too. Glad adding the sinker has allowed him to finally take that step forward as a starter. When he was used in relief Brown seemed to be more useful because if was the 2nd or 3rd time through the lineup guys would just sit on a pitch and light him.uo. They haven't been able to do that this year now that hes not a 2 pitch guy.

A lot is made out Brown emerging because of added pitches.

But I've been more impressed by his demeanor on the the mound. In the past if something bad happened, you could see his head start to spin and he mentally imploded. He's become a bada$$ on the mound between the ears.

Agreed, Maton could take some notes. That dude looks like someone kicked his puppy every time he's on the mound

The tarps off jabroni miffed throwing PCAs homer back onto the field and it went right to a cubs fan. Hilarious.

Baseball is a funny sport, Brown owns the cards, really no reason for it, but he does. Much like the Cards for some crazy reason own Skenes from Pittsburg. He is 0-5 in 7 appearances verses St. Louis. 50 strikeouts in those 7 appearances but still no wins. Skenes is 27 and 18 overall and 5 of those losses are to St. Louis.

I think you've got to try an opener his next time up.
He's not getting another start anytime soon. Boyd or Cabrera will likely be back his next turn in the rotation and if they sre not I sure hope they call up Assad.to take that start. Hopefully hes going back to Iowa after this game and a reliever comes up to fill some innings before that turn in the rotation is due up next.
