Yep, nobody will pay attention to ours, which might not be bad. I think we will be more competitive than Campbells first season there. I think Rogers will coach with balls early in the year unlike Campbell.

It depends how you define that I guess. I think he'll coach like Ferentz most of this season. When in doubt, punt. This game will give the staff a good idea of what the OL is, but they won't really know till after it. I don't know that Rogers is going to be going for 4th downs and Roehl calling trick plays on the road with a completely new offensive roster

But unfortunately our first 2 home games will be noon and 11am. Wish those were night games.

Eh, as someone who typically tailgates all day, I don't mind the 11/12 games early in the season. Hottest part of the day isn't until after half. Compared to the night game when you're out in the heat/sun all day tailgating then still have the game to sit thru.

No, but Campbell coached completely absent of any testicles early in the year. It was painfully embarrassing.

We haven't lost in Kinnick in EIGHT YEARS, and the last time Iowa beat us in Ames the NCAA forced them to vacate their victory because they cheated to get their QB.

The early line in Vegas has the spread at only 12.5 points. Our entire roster and coaching staff have a giant chip on their shoulder.

Not saying we're gonna win, but it's not out of the realm of possibility. We're playing with house money on national TV and all the pressure is on Iowa. Should be a fun night.

Someone tell me why on earth our games that appear on ESPN+, which ESPN themselves has no control over since Iowa State is the one producing the game, are always in the middle of the day?

Dare I say I miss when our Cyclones.tv FCS games were always night games. You already know half the crowd will still be in the stands by the time the 2nd half rolls around because if we're (hopefully) dominating and it's 90 degrees, everyone will want to head home.

This first year might be a rough on for JFR. I fully anticipate Iowa to cover the 12.5. They're a tough/frustrating team to prepare for, for a first year HC
Our only hope is that our defense is good enough to make Iowa equally as uncomfortable. I think our offense is likely going to be abysmal lol.
