Although I understand our current stretch cannot continue indefinitely, I hope our coaching staff learns from this game who the hell NOT to pitch in pressure situations. Gross, indeed.

Welp, I guess for as many come from behind victories we have had we were due to blow a lead ourselves.

Two runs on a sacrifice fly…never seen that before.

I supposed the bullpen injuries had to catch up to us at some point. That was an UGLY 9th.

Probably going to.take a lot more than him if you want someone that is not a back half of the rotation type of arm. Think Ramirez, Conrad, Rojas kind of prospects and likely won't be just 1 that is in a package for a "solid" starter. Have a bad feeling too many teams are still going to be hanging around the wild card that will likely drive up the prices for pitching at the deadline.
Agree it's going to take more that Alcantara to get a starter better than Assad or Rea. Probably 2-3 solid Cub prospects.

The only other trade I could see is Shaw for an MLB ready AAA prospect.

Wanted to choke PCA after the 3-1 pitch and kiss him (on the cheek) on the next pitch.

THAT, PCA is how you play the game. Now lets either win this now, or send someone out to pitch with confidence next inning.
