Love to READ ISU articles. Don't get to drive much to listen to things.

I've listened to podcasts and read these articles but I hear no mention of Connor Moberly. Is he not playing spring ball? They have Zane as number 2?

It certainly looks like Raynor is the guy, and he seems like a great kid and all, but does anyone think anyone else truly had a shot?

We paid Raynor good money to come here, and brought along his OC from Arky St…. he was going to be the guy unless he basically fell flat on his face.

Had a shot at what? You sort of contradict yourself here. Insinuating in the first half that Raynor was just a happy go lucky walk on to then saying well we paid him so he’s obviously the guy. Trying to connect the dots here

Sounds like Moberly is #3 right now. Simple as that.

An upgrade is a stretch, but its not outlandish to say they aren't as far apart as people might think. Statistically Raynor probably had the better year last season, particularly when you add in rushing. Rocco obviously played a tougher set of defenses, but Raynor was a lot higher usage which has its own challenges.

Thats not close to apples to apples there. For multiple reasons.

One guy did it in the Big 12. The other did it in the Sun Belt.

Feels like a lot of people are overrating Raynor because of what he did in one game against ISU. While also conveniently forgetting how awful he looked against us the first time around.

This is correct. However, its hard to take anything from his mop up role during the 2024 game IMO. He has never played at this level, true, but hes also never had P4 OL, or WR's either.

Roccos best year he had 2 NFL WR's. Raynor has not had one up to this point

QB is a massive unknown right now, and it has seemed like the reports from camp arent exactly what you want to hear, again, just my opinion. It is however still spring ball, and a brand new offense for everyone. Raynor has great arm strength and great speed. Also seems like a bright kid, i feel like he'll pick things up quickly. As much as we all might hate the scoreboard when its over, Utah being the first B12 game for this entire team should be a good litmus test, and a rapid welcome to B12 football

too many Interceptions, he needs to clean it up.

I believe it is fair to say we may have gotten an upgrade at the QB position.
His interview (yesterday I believe?) also super impressive. He's a cerebral dude for sure. Combine that with his obvious physical talents, and I'm super excited to see him behind center this season. And I agree that he'll end up being an upgrade at QB, with no disrespect towards Rocco.

Please explain this thought process, because on April 21st, this seems next to insane
