**** Official 2026 MBB Spring Transfer Portal Thread ****

By all accounts, Milan has already had his sit-down with TJ and now ISU is bringing in big shooting wings, not a good sign for Milan's return. Every NBA mock I've seen has him mid-2nd round, so not sure why he'd leave college. NIL money will be better and is guaranteed. Then again, maybe the guy just wants to spread his wings.

Otz planning for Milan to be gone is what this tells me.

Really like 36.8% from 3 at 6.9/game and 84.7% FT shooting on 2.6/game
Felt like TJ was going to bring in a guard and power forward this spring regardless of what Milan does.

If we are linked with adding a second 3/4 player over the next couple weeks, that would tell fans about likelihood of Milan returning

We were linked to all of these guys prior to Milan/TJ sit-down for what it's worth.

I think Milan is maybe 60% and 40% gone, I’d love to have him back and think he still has some areas to improve to be a 1st rounder. With that said, I’d be thrilled if we got Prather/Bond/Singleton, that seems like an absolute homerun off season plus what we’re returning we should be another top 10/15 type team and 3-5 seed

Add Taj Manning (been crystal balled to us) to the get list. 6'7 defensive specialist

My feeling is that Milan will not play fir another school but rather NBA or ISU. He is probably trying to get a NBA promise that someone will draft him and starting his rookie contract so that he can get to that 2nd contract soon. Teams love shoot makers in the NBA

I wouldn't read anything into that. We need to replace Heise, who was a big shooting wing. It was a spot that needed filled no matter what.

That is my read too... TJ can't wait for the NBA withdrawal deadline though thus he's covering his bases this weekend. Milan may have to put his name in the portal too to keep his options open if the available money isn't there in May to his liking.
As much as us ISU fans want Milan to wait one more year his goal is the NBA and he maybe getting the feedback that he won't gain much from playing another year in college and risking injury. Can't fault him for wanting to take the time he needs.

Also we can use up to 15 scholarships now as well. So we can actually recruit his replacement and worst case if he decides to come back, we go over our normal scholarship limit by one and still are under the legal limit

Oh i wasnt aware that the NBA draft only had one round. My bad

Yet another solid clonedude argument.

He is 100% an NBA player. Is he a first round pick? Potentially. Lottery pick? not yet
2nd round picks don't get guaranteed contracts. By definition, NBA scouts aren't 'sold' on 2nd round picks.

Some NBA teams like to use their 2nd rounders on Euro development project-type guys. It seems crazy now that for years there were multiple rounds of the NBA draft.
