#6. Good Luck, Freya!

Interesting to see talent appraisals so different than mine. From what I saw, Freya would have been competing for minutes on almost any earlier team. Compare her to Alison 1st year. And Reece! Incredible handle and strength for a frosh. As a fan of the game, I will truly miss seeing her get better each year. A PG with strong handle and good midrange skills is worth their weight in gold.

They are Fennelly fanboys that's fine, but it makes them incapable of ever truly discussing why they keep failing to meet expectations. Why would money have anything to do with how bad the defense is or why our girls are slow and look unconditioned?
They probably have thoughts about it, but will not address it publicly. I've heard Williams lament Crooks' defensive limitations on 2 guys. But there has been zero critique of the coaching. And I think many fans aren't necessarily mad about losing, it's way the team is losing. Just the seemingly obvious coaching choices being made that put our team at a disadvantage.

I would think it could be a quick roster retool if we went the way of TJ with athletic players that buy into a defensive-focused team. I don't watch a ton of women's basketball so someone correct me if I'm wrong. It just seems like a 40 minutes of hell gameplan could be cheap in terms of NIL and effective on the court. Obviously this wouldn't happen with Audi on the court and Bill on the sidelines.

Might even be possible with Audi. Would love to try a defensive scheme where Audi doubles anyone trying to come off a screen from her mans and dare the offensive player to make a pass through Audi without turning it over as opposed to sagging 10 feet off and letting the team shoot freely

That is not going to happen with or without a new coach. We have one option to guard screens with Audi on the floor and that is the extreme drop coverage we have seen the last few years.

That is not new or news.
Exactly, Audi will get offers in the end for her is to Stay at ISU where she wants to be or Follow money and a better chance to win for her last year. She ultimately makes that choice. I hope she chooses ISU but if she does not then I wish her luck.
