And replace the entire unit every 10 years, as the sensors do expireI really hope the husband has a strong support system. I can’t even begin to imagine what he must be going through.
Obviously, I don’t know what happened here, but I almost feel obligated to remind folks to always check their smoke detectors and make sure you have enough of them. I moved into a new house a year ago and was shocked at the lack of smoke detectors.
