ISU Grad and her 3 children die in House Fire

So tragic. Life is so fragile. You never go to bed thinking something like this could happen.

Makes you wonder how the couldn’t make it out. Especially a one story home.

RIP to her and her family. And prayers to her husband. I literally do not know if I could make it through something like that.

Yeah brutal. Can't verify if this is correct but saw where he was supposedly out of town for work. Can you imagine getting that call?!?

I really hope the husband has a strong support system. I can’t even begin to imagine what he must be going through.

Obviously, I don’t know what happened here, but I almost feel obligated to remind folks to always check their smoke detectors and make sure you have enough of them. I moved into a new house a year ago and was shocked at the lack of smoke detectors.

For optimal safety and compliance with the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) guidelines, you should have
at least one smoke detector on every level of your home, inside every bedroom, and outside each separate sleeping area

She was an amazing person.

I cannot imagine how her husband even faces the next day. Devastating.

Based on the time of the fire they were most likely asleep and by the time they awoke it was too late...Check your fire alarms people.

And replace the entire unit every 10 years, as the sensors do expire

Wonder how long it will take to determine the cause of the fire?

Watched some of her tik toks. She would have been a riot to tailgate or watch a game with.

Note: pic is not from 2006. I think she is referring to her dreams when she was 10.
