Talk about a guy that made a huge jump from his prior years

can Ohio state jump Iowa with Mendez winning and Davino getting 2nd? Outside of Yonger winning my hope is for Iowa to drop out of trophy contention!

OSU needs Caliendo to lose first. If he wins, then Iowa has 4th. Unless dumb and dumber do something.

Getting 1st is 4 points. So if both OSU wrestlers win then it’s a tie. If either gets bonus with a win, then OSU is 4th. If either lose, then Iowas gets 4th.

So what’s the scouting report on Trumble?

Only had 13 matches (and one forfeit) prior to ACC Tournament.

Beat Catka (9-1) and Feldman (5-1) back in December. Beat Pitzer twice (5-2, 9-0).

Unofficially has a 36-0 takedown ratio this season.

Is he a big heavy? Long? Explosive?
Is he a rider? Does he shoot or counter?

He’s good.

EDIT: Sorry…I was posting at the same time.

Trumble is a perfect sized HWT. He’s big, but not too big. He is explosive, IMO and strong. I said in another post, Ferrari is a better wrestler…technically…but Trumble’s no slouch and he’s bigger/stronger.

He’s good in all positions. Question is if he’s just “good”, or is he elite on his feet? If he’s not elite on his feet, nothing else matters.

Pretty sure he’s a 197 convert. Think AJ Ferrari, but more disciplined. Strong defense vs. Yonger strong offense. Should be an enjoyable battle if you have no dog in the hunt…the rest of will be on the edge of our seats.
