***2026-27 Mens College Basketball Thread***

Seems like we're in between games for a bit, so I guess I'll watch Houston jump Kansas.
KU fans got to hate where their program is at now. They used to own this league, and always had more raw talent than anyone else. Houston and Arizona are now clearly more talented, and one could argue that TT and ISU is right with them. Not shedding any tears for them.

What’s earlier than expected? I’d be stunned if they didn’t make a final 4

2nd round or Sweet 16.

My prediction is the 'they find a way after not playing their best' thing goes sideways at the worst time.

They don't defend the arc well enough.

They're due imo.

And I'm not trying to be a hater; Ledenborg's been a favorite to watch all season.

I don’t think there is a 8/9 seed that can beat Michigan in March. Maybe the right 4 seed can give them a battle but that’s going to be very matchup dependent

They have looked off since Illinois game and cason injury. Struggled with 2 8+ seeds in Iowa/Ohio state. Having said that still gone undefeated since

I loved the "Whose house? Coog's house" cheer at the end of the game. For some reason there weren't many Jayhawks around to hear it.. Many KU fans left with more than 10 minutes left in the game.It was worth the price of admission to see a helluva ISU game & an *** whooping of the beakers.
Even Self said after the game 3 of the 4 teams in the semi-finals could make a long run in the tournament. I think he'll actually be relieved to rid himself of Peterson after this year.

Coaching ball is a little harder when everyone can pay their players full salaries above-water.

What’s impressive is that TJ is winning without the five stars. Unlike AZ and Houston.

100 percent. OU athletic director Roger Denny just announced that head couch Poter Moser will be returning next year. He stressed that OUs resources need to match the program’s expectations, and it’s his job to get Moser more resources.

That statement really struck a chord with me and made me think about ISU. Do our expectations exceed our resources? Not sure about the expectations, but I am very confident that TJ’s results have great exceeded the program’s resources. Not saying we are poor, like Kelvin Sampson said about Houston a few weeks ago. However, I am pretty certain that the resources TJ receives is not among the Top 25 in the nation.

If Penn makes a sweet 16 I'll laugh my ass off
