Ed was a GREAT PA/halftime announcer at MBB games in the 80's.

I saw several gymnastics exhibitions as the half-time entertainment at MBB games in the late 70s. It was pretty impressive to see those.
Once Ed left as the halftime emcee, it went down the tubes.
In the early 1970’s, the Men’s Gymnastics National Championships were in Lincoln, NE when I saw Cyclone Ron Galimore perform his rings routine. At the conclusion, the entire crowd knew it was perfect and immediately jumped to its because they just witnessed the first score of a 10 in NCAA history. ISU Men’s Gymnastics was awesome!
Ron Galimore made the USA Olympic squad but the USA boycotted the Moscow Games.
