RIP Catherine O’Hara

I don't know...this one hurts.

It was only over the past decade or so that I realized how fun, and funny she was in movies.

She will be missed. SCTV was a huge part of my formative years. It started as I was in probably 2nd or 3rd grade and ended as I started high school. Kind of that sweet spot of being able to remember things, but ending as other things in life took over.

Another one of those WTF? moments for me though. She was 71? Yes, 71 to some people is old, but when you get to my age it's mind boggling that she was only 16 years older than me. She was on SCTV at age 22. 71 is way too early for a treasure like her.

Always catches my eye when people younger than I am die from the generic and ubiquitous "brief illness". Life is fragile.

I tend to figure they had something and that something finally did its thing.

The fragility is real though.
