Here's an in-depth look at each Big 12 team and what they've done in the non-conference season.

I have to wonder if the talent is carrying Gerlich at TTU. She’s been there for years already and has about a 25% win percentage in conference. I can’t imagine she all the sudden became a good coach.

After watching us so far, I feel alot better about us being in the top 4 of the conference and contending for 1st.
Haven't watched much other ball than the Clones, but we are all chasing the big 2 or 3 nationally anyway.

TCU,Baylor are tough IMO. TT and Okie St look to possibly be substantial this yr. I think we are right in the mix. Maybe better maybe not but the games have to be played.

The gals are playing with purpose and seem to be having fun together and that’s worth a lot. Watching the Jrs. Sophomore campaign compared to their freshman yr was disappointing they went from fun and loose, to not quite plodding but I can't think of a better word to use.

This yrs team plays D like most ISU WBB teams haven't played at least not with any consistency. The offense has multiple people to pick up the slack and be the hot hand.
I want Audi to be healthy and be in every game here on out, but with her sitting UNI, it really showed me that others can step up and carry a load when necessary.

Just took a look at the top 25, I'll go down as far as #5 and agree that's probably the cream of the crop. After that I think we can play with anyone and beat most. Those top 5 I'm guessing are in pretty rare air. I know BB isn't transitive but we'll see how Iowa does against UCONN and put some judgment in there even if that isnt best practice.

Well as Bill likes to say time to lace em up a little tighter and play. Looking forward to Sunday in Hilton.
Great write up @acoustimac

That's a spectacular write-up (type-up), thank you so much for taking the time to do that! Honestly, it was so good, I sorta wished that you would have included ISU in it, maybe type up an unbiased (as much as possible) review of the Cyclones as well. Anyhoo, great job!

Baylor is really dependent on how long Taliah Scott is out. I've watched them three times (Duke, Iowa, Texas) and they are a fine defensive team but have issues on offense. No Scott available just amplifies that.

Really, on paper, it comes down to TCU and ISU.

Hard to say how this years race will turn out. Makes it more interesting I suppose.

I've been following ASU all year because of Molly Miller (coach). That womans record is incredible. I've been saying for 5 years, "Why doesn't some big time school grab her". Have any of you took a gander at her career record? Drury 180 - 17. Grand Canyon 117 - 38. ASU 13 - 0. She took over a horrible team in Phoenix and had to basically put together a bunch of portal misfits to even have a team. Her last win against Gonzaga was without Brackens & Moore and they still won on the road. I sure hope their injuries are minor because it will be tough to win in the Big 12 without them.

Molly Miller is the coach that hundreds of Baylor fans wanted when the AD & Mulkey clashed and she headed to greener pastures in Baton Rouge. That AD who is dumber than a 3rd coat of paint, and just recently was forced to step down due to a half dozen issues, paid no attention to the hundreds of requests he received. So you get what you get.

Time to win a conference title as Bill finishes out his career.

Only nit I have so far has been the lack of production and PT from Paulk. Still think we will need her wing D length and skill for rotation minutes vs some top B12 matchups. Now that has been offset to some extent by the quality of Beaty’s rotation contribution so far. And A.Williams’ improvement has also helped to increase ISU’s title odds. Bench production will be key vs the other top teams and Bill cannot be averse to leveraging it as required.
