Kyle Kempt…player, coach success story

They beat a very talented OU team. Mayfield, Mark Andrews, Cede Lamb, Hollywood Brown and I’m sure a few other studs. Crazy.
I think its underrated on how big of an upset that actually was. Kempt was a walk-on playing his first meaningful snaps at the collegiate level, and we didn't have Willie Harvey at linebacker that day. To me it was a bigger upset than the win against Oklahoma State.

That was the moment this fun ride we’ve been on started. October 2017 was just a magical month.
 
Kempt, Montgomery, Lanning, Lazard, Butler, Ryen. What a game.


Just watching that game again made be appreciate Montgomery all the more. Also, Kempt’s accuracy in his first start was uncanny.
