    The real disappointment is nothing will change. Fans will keep watching, Tech will face no real consequences, and everyone will just gloss over this.

    This is really only a thing that can work on your final season. I believe once you reach the point this suit is at you cannot just unilaterally drop your suit. So in this case the NCAA would have to agree to drop it.

    The final trial date has been set for Feb. 7, 2027. At which point this whole thing becomes moot. There are no rules because as long as you can get a TRO the court system moves to slow for it to matter.

    Since the lawsuit was filed by Sorsby and the injunction protects Sorsby, I wonder if the NCAA could just give TTU the death penalty after the season if Sorsby plays.

    Agree. If the players won't come to the table as a union, we need a lockout to force them to form one.

    IMO a strike would be a good thing for all of college athletics. That would mean the players would have had to form something close to a union which seems impossible right now.

    Why do you think it's not a genuine effort? Also, doesn't it make sense for them to bring it people in the industry to talk about the bill that would have a huge impact on them? Who else would they ask?
