Hy-Vee's weirdest business decision yet?
The quality of the produce at the Ankeny #1 store is pathetic. Lemons, limes, oranges in particular look like they are #2 rather than top line. Hardly ever see name brand citrus fruit there. Apples are just fair except for the cosmic crisp apples. The mangos are always horrible (even in season)... -

IIRC, Max did hire Criner, but Max had John Cooper (Iowa State Dirty Thirty player) lined up to be the Iowa State coach until Prez Bob Parks unexpectedly veto'd the hire. For that to happen, the area to be built on would have to be rezoned as Ankeny 2040 plan has it In low to high density. Hopefully, all current residents, mostly low density, would fight like hell to keep it residential.
