    Shower Thoughts

Waffle stomping is never acceptable shower behavior.

    ***OFFICIAL 2026 WEATHER THREAD***

My house is this way and it's amazing. One small unit in the attic for just the upstairs and one in basement for the main floor and basement. Sucks paying for maintenance on 2 AC/furnaces, but it stays cool all summer in our bedroom which makes it worth it. Plus using smart thermostats, I can...

    Uptick in spam calls

As a business owner with a website, I get freaking hammered by the robo dialer scams talking about verifying my Google business profile. I between 2 and 10 a day on my business line.

It was beautiful in CR this morning, now it's definitely ball soup. Just gross humidity

Those of you expecting the seats to be full again at the start of the 3rd are going to be disappointed. Those people will still be missing, the only difference is instead of them making their way back from the parking lot, they will be standing in line at the concession waiting for their half...

The next brewery to bite the dust

I like Lions Bridge but it seems they don't get a lot of publicity. If it's on tap somewhere I often choose it, but I rarely stop by their place in CzechTown. The last time I was there, they had closed the kitchen and were essentially leasing to a contractor because it wasn't making money.

The next brewery to bite the dust

I make it a point to eat at SingleSpeed when I'm in Waterloo as well as visiting BigGrove in CR occasionally. Even at places who made their name via craft beers, the people who frequent them aren't often drinking it. I'm much like you, I'm content with a beer or two vs multiple beers a decade...

The next brewery to bite the dust

Talking to people in the industry, consolidation is going to continue. many of these places have hit a ceiling (or decline) with demand and the cost of brewing and distribution is killing them. Some have already begun setting up shared brewing space among competitors to save money on equipment...

    ***2026 Minnesota Vikings***

I actually think that's a decent idea, though I believe you're correct about where he goes and if he does make it past the 4th, there are multiple teams that might take a flyer on him before the Vikings would pick him. They have 2 5th rounders which would make it an easier proposition.

I do kinda hope they find a way to keep Ryan and re-sign him. Probably not realistic, but he's a solid front line pitcher and could lead the team for years.

    ***OFFICIAL 2026 WEATHER THREAD***

Around the CR area, the winds were very isolated. Fairfax and friends of mine south of the airport have multiple trees down, but here on the SE side, we didn't see much of any wind.

    ***2026 Minnesota Vikings***

Former Chicago Bears general manager Ryan Pace joined the team this week as a football adviser, according to a source. Current assistant general manager Ryan Grigson will remain with the Vikings but will have a different title. Thoughts? I don't know much about the guy

    Sauna recommendations

I own an electrical company and install new circuits for them frequently. Here is a recent option I gave for a client installing a traditional one. There are some infrared ones that claim to work on a standard 15 or 20amp 120 circuit, but I have no experience with them. Installation of 240v...
