My initial treatment was surgery only. That lasted one year and it came back. I have two years of hormones and daily chemo pills. I just finished 8 weeks of daily radiation. It really isn't that bad. Worst side effect is the hot flashes. I have to give it to UIHC, they seem to know what they are...- qwerty

I'm not a Dr., but I would think as long as the Doc is aware of it, that is their (and your) call. They should know the potential probabilities a lot better than an internet stranger (me).- qwerty

I had Prostate cancer last year and had it removed. Same deal, they cut almost every muscle and nerve surrounding the bladder (prostate is tucked in directly below the bladder) and I had zero bladder control immediately after. I wore Depends for 5-6 months, reduced down to thick pads and...- qwerty
