    Well, sadly, there are likely G5 schools with more money to buy a team than ISU has. Like Memphis for one. All you need is one or two big donors. I don't think it is breaking news that we have to find the hidden gems, not the proven players. Until one of us wins the Super Lottery.

    Don't know about his football skills, but this guy has really thick, muscular legs and a low center of gravity. That can be a combination making a guy hard to tackle.

    1970's Cave-In was the popular bar, on Welch just north of Lincolnway. But my favorite find back then was Pizza House on Lincolnway. They had this crazy thing they did where they gave you free refills on your Coke to go with your pizza. Back in 1972 or 1973, that was unheard of.

    I just remember in November thinking, well this Pleta guy for being what 21 or 22 years old, sure doesn't look like he's ready for Big 12 basketball.     I guess I always assume if someone isn't playing, it's due to defense. So if he stays, then Mitchell has to know what he needs to work on. So, yeah, you would expect him to make that improvement.
