I haven't personally done the steeple chase so I couldn't comment on it. But one is a sprint and the other is distance so there's a bit of a difference. Number of hurdles vs steeples is also a factor.
They are a mindf*ck because you see them and think "oh it can't be that bad". Oh its bad. It's really, really bad. The only time have ever vomited from running was every time I ran 400h.
The "It's All In The Hips" are BFG's as well. I like using them over my traditional Hooked on Onyx as they aren't as dark colored so it helps in shady parts of the course.
I use Goodr. Have two pairs of the hooked on Onyx (I have a giant head) and a pair of the It's All In The Hips for the golf course. Definitely help me see the ball better with the lens color and polarization.
