    The absolute worst teams in baseball still win 1 of every 3 games, and the absolute best teams in baseball still lose 1 of every 3 games. I'll take 2 of 3 on the road every time, no matter the opponent (unless it's the Deadbirds).

    I just want the Cubs to move on from Happ this winter. Thanks for the years, go get a check elsewhere. Same thing with Suzuki, Shota and Taillon. Ride it out with these guys for 26, we're not getting past the Brewers and/or Dodgers anyway.

    Ron Santo is up in heaven laughing his tail off. He never got over '69, he hated the Mets with all his being. Late in his broadcast career as his health worsened, he'd skip the NY trip entirely and stay home, he couldn't stomach even being near Mets fans. Awesome.

    You can just feel that it's only a matter of time before TJ gets a team to the Final Four. He is big time, and as a program, I think it's safe to say we've arrived. Feels pretty cool!

    Wicks has had multiple opportunities in the bigs and totally choked on it each time, no more. Cubs need to cut the cord or at best, view him as AAA roster fodder. They do need people to fill out a AAA rotation I guess. Wicks has no MLB future.

    No on Suzuki, yes on Happ at the right price. No on all the other high price guys, yes on Kelly. I will eat half of Swanson's money if some team will take him at that price in exchange for a bucket of balls. Cubs can afford to throw away $12MM-ish a year on a bad contract, they already did it...

    JJ was only here two years compared to Milan's three, and began at a different school while Milan came here direct from HS. Yet JJ became a hardcore Cyclone, he is a very easy guy to root for. Hoping some NBA team is smart enough to spend a 1st round pick on him.

    At least it’s been a breakthrough year for Ben Brown, absolutely love what he’s doing. If he can just build up that stamina some, wow, looking awesome. Sucks that he never pitches deep into games. PCA, LOL…..dude is a lot of fun, that’s for sure!

    Not directed at any previous poster, but anyone that thinks this is a playoff team is delusional. This is a .500 ballclub if there ever was one. They were behind the 8-ball from the beginning with all three of their top SPs on the shelf, but the holes in the roster construction were always there...
